Off-Site Components

UMHB’s nursing programs require the student’s successful completion of off-site clinical components.  These off-site
components are typically operated by separate institutions or organizations which are not controlled by the University
and which may establish their own rules and conditions for participation.  A student may be unable to complete a program
of study and obtain a degree if he or she is unable to complete an off-site component after being excluded
from participation by the University’s off-site providers.  Students who have reason to believe that they may be barred from
participation by any of the off-site providers in their program of study are encouraged to determine early in the enrollment
process what, if any, alternatives may be available.

Note: Applicants who have been previously enrolled, but unsuccessful, in a professional nursing program must
secure a letter of standing from the Dean or Director of that nursing school in order to be considered for
acceptance into the UMHB nursing program. The letter must be mailed directly to the UMHB School of Nursing
